How You Can Help the Poor

About 50 per cent of the world's population lives in poverty. In the United States the statistics on poverty is 12 per cent, not as harrowing as the conditions in other countries, especially in Asia, South America and Africa, but still a distressing figure. The 12 per cent translates to millions of families who can't properly provide for their children in terms of food, health, housing, education, etc....  It is a condition that is prevents millions to lead meaningful lives, to become useful members of the society.

Not everything is negative though. Non-government organizations and charitable organizations are doing what they can do to alleviate the sufferings that poverty stricken families and their children constantly face. Their programs include feeding programs, educational and health assistance and many others.

It is also encouraging to note that many companies and wealthy individuals are also engaged in these activities. In fact, the funds of many charitable institutions come from corporate and individual donors.  However, these charitable institutions in order for their programs to make a significant contribution to easing the problems of destitute families need a steady source of funding.

There's actually no lack of people willing and able to help. The most strategy employed to ensure funds for charitable works is one devised by Christopher Pair, an executive of company engaged in the production and distribution of healthy food. A percentage of the company's sales are donated to its partner charitable organization, which is Feeding America. In the short time that the partnership was established Feeding America   has actually   helped millions of families. Read more about hunger at https://www.dictionary.com/browse/hungry.

The partnership that Christopher Pair company has forged with Feeding America is really a great idea. It ensures steady funds for charity while at the time same giving everybody, no matter what their situation in life is, the chance to contribute something towards bettering the lives of the poor.

There are many businesses out there whose owners would not think twice o about helping others.  It would be a good idea for them to emulate what Christopher Pair is doing. It is easy and should not affect their business negatively.  Their customers would be happy to know that their money is also being used for the public good.

Poverty that demeans lives of millions of people?  You can help reduce it by supporting companies actively engaged in helping the disadvantaged by  buying their products.
